Senior Farewells: Megan Neeley and Emma Figlewicz

To the readers of The Almanian,

As my time as Editor in Chief of The Almanian comes to a close, I would like to take a moment
to express my sincere gratitude. First, a huge thank you to Professor Cicci for your invaluable
guidance and support. Your mentorship has shaped my time here in more ways than I can
express.

To Tim Rath, thank you for always being the first to lend an ear and offer wise counsel. Your
mentorship and encouragement have meant so much to me.

To the editing team that accompanied me on every decision this year, you all hold a special,
slightly bizarre place in my heart. It’s been a ride, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything– except
maybe the chance to use an Oxford comma again.

And to you, our readers– thank you for making my college experience unforgettable. It has been
a privilege watching our class of 2025 grow through these very headlines. Your support has
given me the chance to expand my passion for writing in ways I never thought possible.

With heartfelt thanks,
Megan Neeley

To the Readers of the Almanian,

As I reflect on my time as Photo Editor, I can’t help but think of all the wonderful memories I’ve made over the past four years. From my first day as a freshman, I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of the Almanian, and I’ve cherished every minute of it. Being on staff has not only allowed me to pursue my passion for journalism, but it has also helped me build lasting friendships along the way.

Writing has been a love of mine since high school, and though I’m not an English major, I’ve always wanted to find a way to continue sharing my thoughts with an audience. The Almanian has given me just that—a platform to engage with the community and gain insight into the inner workings of our campus.

A special thank you goes to Professor Cicci for her unwavering dedication to this organization and for ensuring everything runs smoothly year after year. I also want to express my gratitude to the editing staff—you all made Sundays in the office something to look forward to, and I’ve loved our random conversations.

With love,
Emma Figlewicz
